Director-General IWAMOTO and Ambassador Yokota Visit Houmal Technology Park

On 4 August, Mr. IWAMOTO Keiichi, Assistant Minister and Director-General for the Middle East and Africa Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, and Ambassador Yokota visited Houmal Technology Park (HTP).
During the visit, the delegation received a briefing on HTP's activities and its role in fostering innovation, entrepreneurship and digital transformation in Lebanon. They toured the facilities and exchanged views with HTP representatives on opportunities for Japan–Lebanon cooperation in technology, innovation and digital industries.
The visit highlighted the important role of innovation and the private sector in Lebanon's economic recovery and sustainable growth. The delegation also exchanged views on promoting business partnerships and innovation-driven cooperation between Japan and Lebanon, reaffirming Japan's commitment to supporting Lebanon's long-term development and recovery.
