Ambassador Magoshi attends the launch of an educational project funded by JICA through UNOPS

On July 24 Ambassador Magoshi attended the launch of an education support initiative funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) through UNOPS and in collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The project includes the rehabilitation of public schools that had hosted internally displaced persons (IDPs) during the most recent security development in Lebanon, the provision of essential educational equipment, and the implementation of school improvement plans aimed at strengthening leadership and learning conditions.
This initiative reflects Japan's continued commitment to Lebanon’s education sector, which remains a key pillar for economic growth and social resilience. As Lebanon navigates difficult circumstances the Japanese Government stands ready to continue collaborating with local and international partners to advance equitable quality education for students across the country.
