Japan supports Governmental Hospitals across Lebanon through UNOPS
2025/3/27

Ambassador Magoshi participated on March 24 in a ceremony at the Ministry of Public Health, in the presence of His Excellency Minister Rakan Nassereddine, following the completion of works of a project funded under a grant from Japan, through the UNOPS, that helped equip several governmental hospitals with solar energy systems and essential medical supplies.
Lebanon’s healthcare sector continues to be strained by the ongoing socio-economic crisis and security developments. Given the significant role that governmental hospitals play in safeguarding the health of the most vulnerable communities across the country, Japan has decided to support this initiative, to ensure the sustainability of essential medical services, and enhance the resilience of the public healthcare sector in the face of future challenges.
