2023/12/13
On December 8, Ambassador Magoshi participated in a ceremony in Tripoli to celebrate the graduation of trainees in urban farming and food production under a project funded by the Government of Japan and implemented by UN-Habitat Lebanon.
This comprehensive initiative aimed at equipping beneficiaries from the most disadvantaged communities in Tripoli with the necessary skills to help them kickstart their agricultural businesses and secured the needed infrastructure to prepare suitable locations for urban farming to create sustainable job opportunities for the trainees. Japan will continue to support the advancement of the agricultural sector in Lebanon as a mean to achieve food security across the country and support the livelihoods of the most vulnerable.
