Japan Supports the Tebnin Governmental Hospital with solar power
2023/8/4
On August 2, Ambassador Magoshi participated in a ceremony to celebrate the completion of works at the Tebnin Governmental Hospital in the presence of Public Health Minister, H.E. Dr Firass Abiad. This support is part of a larger-scale project funded by the Governmental of Japan through the UNOPS, in support of Lebanon’s public health facilities.
Under this initiative, the Tebnin Governmental Hospital was equipped with a solar energy system to help reduce fuel costs, and bridge the gap in electricity supply during power outages. The Japanese Government will continue to extend assistance to the country’s healthcare facilities to help them fulfil their fundamental role and serve the most vulnerable patients amid the ongoing socio-economic hardships.
