Japan continues its support to Lebanon's Governmental Hospitals through UNOPS
2023/5/17
Ambassador Magoshi participated on May 13 in a ceremony at the Minnieh Governmental Hospital that marked the completion of works in a project funded under a grant from Japan, and which helped equip the hospital with solar panels and essential medical supplies through the UNOPS, in the presence of Public Health Minister, H.E. Dr Firass Abiad.
Given the growing significance of the public hospitals’ role in Lebanon, and the difficult circumstances that they are operating under, Japan has decided to support the Governmental hospitals to ensure the continued provision of quality and affordable medical care in the region. The Government of Japan will continue prioritizing support for healthcare facilities across the country to help them cope with emerging challenges and continue to serve the most vulnerable communities.
