Ambassador Okubo visits Community Support Projects funded by Japan in Akkar and Tripoli

On October 13, Ambassador Okubo participated in a ceremony at a public school in Ilat Akkar to celebrate the completion of the installation of solar powered prefabricated classrooms, funded by Japan through IOM, to help increase the school’s capacity to receive a larger number of students and to meet the basic educational needs in the midst of the electricity crisis. Ambassador Okubo continued his visit in El-Mina Tripoli where solar streetlights were installed, to help illuminate the town amid power outages, and provide greater security for the local communities.
