Japan Supports the Reconstruction of the Ministry of Public Health’s Central Supply Warehouse in Karantina

On June 9, Ambassador Okubo participated in the inauguration of the newly reconstructed Central Supply Warehouse of the Ministry of Public Health in Karantina, that was funded by a grant from Japan through UNICEF.
Japan has prioritized the reconstruction of this center following the Beirut Port explosion, and helped equip it with solar panels, due to its vital role in securing essential medical supplies to a large network of hospitals and health facilities across the country. Japan will continue to support the health care sector in Lebanon to enhance its readiness to address any potential crisis, and ensure the sustainability of medical services.
