Ambassador visits a solid waste management center supported in the framework of a grant from Japan (UNDP Project with “Live Love Recyle”)

On April 8, Ambassador Okubo participated in a field visit to a center for solid waste management run by the organization “Live Love Recycle” that was supported in the framework of a grant from Japan through the UNDP that aimed at enhancing local practices for reducing, reusing and, recycling waste, and strengthening Lebanon’s institutional capacity in this sector.
Japan is committed to maintain its support for solid waste management initiatives in Lebanon, as it recognizes the vital role that waste management can play in protecting the environment, maintaining public health, and achieving sustainable development.
