Following the huge explosions in Beirut, Lebanon on August 5 in Japan Standard Time, Prime Minister Abe Shinzo has sent a message of condolence to H.E.Mr.Hassan DIAB, Prime Minister of the Lebanese Republic; and Foreign Minister Motegi Toshimitsu has sent a message of condolence to H.E.Mr. Charbel WEHBE, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Lebanese Republic, as summarized below.
1 I am deeply saddened to learn the news that many lives were lost and serious damages were brought by the huge explosion in Beirut, Lebanon.
2 I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families and I sincerely pray for the speedy recovery of the affected people. I pray from the bottom of my heart for the restoration of Lebanon at an earliest date as possible.
