Owner of Shogun Lounge Receives Minister's Award for Overseas Promotion of Japanese Food

On December 13, Mr. Aref Saade, the owner of a Japanese restaurant, “Shogun Lounge,” was awarded the Minister's Award for Overseas Promotion of Japanese Food. This is the award which the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries presents to persons who have made outstanding contributions to the introduction and spread of Japanese cuisine and Japanese foods overseas; and five persons from all over the world are awarded every year.
Mr. Saade, as a pioneer of the Japanese restaurants in Lebanon, opened Shogun Lounge; he has jointly hosted a number of seminars and workshops on Japanese cuisine with the Embassy of Japan in Lebanon.
During the ceremony, The Minister Eto gave Mr. Saade the testimonial. Prime Minister Abe also attended the ceremony.
