Japan Provides Medical Equipment to a Medical Center in Saida

The Government of Japan provided laboratory equipment, an ultrasound machine, and a dental chair for Secours Populaire Libanais’ Medical Center in Saida, to enhance the quality of medical services in the area for both the local and refugee communities.

On December 12 2018, and on the occasion of the project completion, H.E. Mr. Matahiro Yamaguchi, Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon, attended an inauguration ceremony in the medical center organized by Secours Populaire Libanais (SPL). With a grant of USD 71,224, and through the Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Program (GGP), around 8,000 patients annually, including local residents and refugees will gain access to improved primary healthcare services at a subsidized cost.
