Japan Supports Public Hospitals in Lebanon

The medical equipment which Japan provided through an emergency grant of US 5 million dollars to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health has arrived to public hospitals.
On Wednesday 21 February 2018, H.E. Mr. Matahiro Yamaguchi, the Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon attended a ceremony at Rafic Hariri University Hospital in the presence of Dr. Walid Ammar General Director of the Ministry of Public Health Representing H.E. Mr. Ghassan Hasbani to celebrate collaborations between Japan and Lebanon on healthcare projects. The ceremony also aimed to celebrate the completion of a small-scale grant project that was funded by Japan in collaboration with Fujifilm, through which Rafic Hariri University Hospital obtained an Endoscopy System. The Ambassador hoped that the Japanese grants will enhance the medical services that will benefit the host and refugee communities.
