Japan Supports the Municipality of Housh Moussa (Anjar)

The Embassy of Japan supports the recycling efforts in the municipality of Housh Moussa (Anjar), in order to enhance the living environments of the residents and Syrian refugees in the area.
To fund the project, on February 28 2018, H.E. Mr. Matahiro Yamaguchi, Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon signed a grant contract with Mr. Vartkes Khoshian, Mayor of the Municipality of Housh Moussa (Anjar). The ceremony was also attended by a representative of Solidarités International, a French NGO that provides support for communities affected by conflicts or natural disasters. With a grant of USD 50,200, this project will benefit around 10,800 residents of the villages.
