Japan Funds the Provision of Medical Equipment for Baakleen Medical Center

The Government of Japan provided medical equipment for the emergency unit in Baakleen Medical Center, to improve the medical services in the area for both the local and refugee communities.
On the occasion of the project completion, on February 22 2019, H.E. Mr. Matahiro Yamaguchi, Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon, attended the project completion ceremony in the medical center. The ceremony was also attended by Dr. Marwan Abou Ayash, General Manager of Baakleen Medical Center. With a grant of USD 89,647, this project will benefit at least 6000 patients annually, who will gain access to proper and enhanced medical services at subsidized costs.
