Japan Support the Mine Clearance Operations in Sour

The Embassy of Japan funds the mine clearance operations in Sour, in order to eliminate dangers of mines and secure the living conditions of the communities in the area.
On November 20, 2018, H.E. Mr. Matahiro Yamaguchi, Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon signed a grant contract with Mr. Zechariah Johnson, Programme Manager of Dan Church Aid (DCA), an international NGO that has been operating on mine and cluster munitions clearance in Lebanon since 2006.
