Japan Provides Waste Collection Trucks to Municipalities in Baalbek and Hermel

The Embassy of Japan continues to support the waste management project in Baalbek and Hermel implemented by the Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training (LOST) through providing solid waste collection trucks for three municipalities. The purposes of this project are to improve the environmental quality and living conditions of the residents.
To fund the project, on October 25, 2018, H.E. Mr. Matahiro Yamaguchi, Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon signed a grant contract with Dr. Ramy Lakkis, Director of LOST, that provides various services including education, humanitarian assistance, and health to the people of Baalbek and Hermel.
