Japan Supports the Palestinian Red Crescent Society - Lebanon

The Embassy of Japan provided medical equipment for the operation rooms to Haifa and Hamshari hospitals of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society in Lebanon (PRCS-L), in order to improve the quality of medical services in these hospitals.
On the occasion of the project completion, on October 15 2018, H.E. Mr. Matahiro Yamaguchi, Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon, attended the ceremony in Burj Al Barajneh Palestinian Camp organized by PRCS-L. The Ceremony was also attended by Palestine’s Ambassador to Lebanon H.E. Mr. Ashraf Dabour, and the Japanese Red Cross Team that has been supporting the PRCS medical staff in Haifa Hospital through sharing expertise. With a grant of USD 84,226 through the Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Program (GGP), around 2,700 patients in Burj Al Barajneh and Saida will annually benefit from the enhanced medical services provided by the hospitals.
