Japan Provides Waste Collection Trucks to Municipalities in Baalbek

The Embassy of Japan funds solid waste collection trucks for the municipalities in the Caza of Baalbek through Lebanese Organization for Studies and Training (LOST), in order to enhance the living conditions of the residents.

To fund the project, on March 5 2018, H.E. Mr. Matahiro Yamaguchi, Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon, signed a grant contract with Dr. Rami Lakkis, Director of LOST, a local NGO that provides various supports including education, humanitarian assistance, health awareness to the residents of Baalbek. This project will benefit at least 45,000 people including Syrian refugees.
