Japanese Embassy hands over Dental Equipments for the National Institution of Social Care and Vocational Training in Rashidieh Palestinian Refugee Camp

Charge d'Affaires a.i. of Embassy of Japan, Mr. Tatsuyuki Ueda, visited on Friday 20 November, 2009, the National Institution of Social Care and Vocational Training in Rashidieh Palestinian Refugee Camp, where a project for equipping the dental clinic has completed. The project, funded by the Government of Japan through its “Grant Assistance for Grass-roots Human Security Project (GGP)”, aims at improvement of the health services in a remote area. The Embassy and the Association have signed the grant contract of US$46,028 on 8 March, 2007 for this aim.

 

Japan’s GGP supports development projects at grass-roots level proposed by such bodies as nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and local governmental authorities in Lebanon. Japan has so far extended through GGP more than US$ 9 million since 1996.
