Japan assists Oum El Nour

Japan will donate US$ 66,557 through its Grassroots Grants Program to Oum El Nour to improve the land, purchase gardening tools and provide several equipments for music and art therapy in the drug rehabilitation center for women in Fatka. This grant aims at effective indoor and outdoor activities for the physical and mental treatment of the patients at the center.
Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon Mr. Yoshihisa Kuroda and the General Manager of Oum El Nour, Ms. Mouna Yazigi, signed a contract to this effect at the Embassy of Japan today.
Japan’s Grassroots Grants Program has so far extended more than US$ 8.4 Million since 1996 to finance development projects throughout Lebanon proposed and implemented by municipalities, NGOs, hospitals, private schools, research institutes, and other non-profit organizations.
