Japan assists Dar Al Fatwa General Health Center

Japan will donate US$ 44,000 through its Grassroots Grants Program to the General Health Center of Dar Al Fatwa to provide it with medical laboratory diagnostic equipments in addition to an overall rehabilitation of the center for it to become a more suitable healthcare delivery center.

Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon, Mr. Yoshihisa Kuroda, and the supervisor of the General Health Center of Dar Al Fatwa, Sheikh Dr. Imad Kanawati, signed a contract to this effect at the Embassy of Japan today.

Japan’s Grassroots Grants Program has so far extended more than US$ 8.3 Million since 1996 to finance development projects throughout Lebanon proposed and implemented by municipalities, NGOs, hospitals, private schools, research institutes, and other non-profit organizations.
