Japan assists Al-Arz Association for Sports and Culture

Japan will donate US$ 56,357 through its Grassroots Grants Program to the Al-Arz Association for Sports and Culture. The Charge d'Affairs a.i. of the embassy of Japan in Lebanon, Mr. Tatsuyuki Ueda and the President of the Al–Arz Association for Sports and Culture, Mr. Ramadan Fattah, signed a contract to this effect at the Embassy of Japan today.

The grant aims at equipping the dispensary of the association with ultrasound machine, X-ray, ophthalmic and physiotherapy apparatuses.

Japan’s Grassroots Grants Program has so far extended more than US$ 8.3 Million since 1996 to finance development projects throughout Lebanon
proposed and implemented by municipalities, NGOs, hospitals, private schools,
research institutes, and other non-profit organizations.
