Japanese ambassador inaugurates medical equipments for Armenian Relief Cross in Lebanon (ARCL)
Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon, Mr. Yoshihisa Kuroda, inaugurated on Tuesday 29 April, at the Socio-Medical Center of ARCL in Bourj Hammoud, a project that was financed by the government of Japan through its Grassroots Grants Programme and implemented by ARCL.
The US$82,796-project was implemented in accordance with a contract signed by the Embassy of Japan and ARCL on December 27, 2007 and consisted of equipping the Laboratory of the center with a chemistry analyzer, installing a Panoramic X-ray, and equipping the Ophthalmology and Dental units.
Japan’s Grassroots Grants Program has so far extended more than US$ 7.7 Million since 1996 to finance development projects throughout Lebanon proposed and implemented by municipalities, NGOs, hospitals, private schools, research institutes, and other non-profit organizations.
