Japan assists the Municipality of Ghobeiry

Japan will donate US$ 82,841 through its Grassroots Grants Program to the Municipality of Ghobeiry. Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon Mr. Yoshihisa Kuroda and the president of the municipality, Mr. Mr. Mohammad Khansa, signed a contract to this effect at the Embassy of Japan today.

 

The grant aims at equipping the medical center of the Municipality of Ghobeiry with dental, ophthalmic and ENT clinics.

 

Japan’s Grassroots Grants Program has so far extended more than US$ 7.6 Million since 1996 to finance development projects throughout Lebanon proposed and implemented by municipalities, NGOs, hospitals, private schools, research institutes, and other non-profit organizations.
