Japanese grant to Saint Vincent de Paul dispensary
in Cornet Chahwan

Ambassador of Japan Mr. Tokumitsu Murakami inaugurated today at Saint Vincent de Paul Association’s dispensary in Cornet Chahwan, Metn, recently-acquired medical equipments that were funded by Japan through its Grassroots Grants Program.

The equipments, of a total value of US$41,000, consisted of various medical instruments for monitoring and diagnosing heart problems, and included an ultrasound machine, an electrocardiogram, and a blood pressure recorder.

Japan, through its Grassroots Grant Program, has so far extended approximately US$ 7 Million to NGOs, municipalities, hospitals, private schools, research institutes, and other non-profit organizations to help them implement flexible and timely development projects in various Lebanese regions
