Japan will provide US$ 75,417 through its Grassroots Grants Program to Notre Dame de la Paix School in Qobeyat, Akkar, for replacing aging classroom furniture and purchasing laboratory equipment.
Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon Mr. Tokumitsu Murakami and School Principal Sister Simone Abdel Malak signed today a contract to this effect at the Japanese Embassy's premises in Beirut.Japan's Grassroots Grants Program has extended approximately US$ 6.5 Million of financial assistance since 1996 to support various development projects throughout Lebanon that were proposed and implemented by municipalities, NGOs, hospitals, private schools, research institutes, and other non-profit organizations.
