Japan will finance basic beekeeping training sessions for women, which will be organized by Makhzoumi Foundation in the towns of Roum, Hasbaya, Hannaouiye, Qaa, Aarsal, Baalbeck, and Mansoura.
Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon Mr. Tokumitsu Murakami and the president of Makhzoumi Foundation, Ms. May Makhzoumi, signed today at the Japanese Embassy premises in Beirut a grant contract whereby Japan will provide, through its Grassroots Grants Program, a US$-83,111 assistance to fund the training sessions.Japan's Grassroots Grant Program has extended approximately US$ 6 Million of financial assistance since 1996 to support various development projects throughout Lebanon that were proposed and implemented by municipalities, NGOs, hospitals, private schools, research institutes, and other non-profit organizations.
