The project for the Extension of Child Welfare Center in Nahr el Bared Palestine Refugee Camp completed successfully

Friday 12 December 2014 – Ambassador Otsuka visited the National Institution of Social Care and Vocational Training (known as Beit Atfal Assumoud: BAS) in Nahr El Bared Camp upon the completion of a project funded by the government of Japan. Through the project, an additional floor was constructed in the center, where more than 70 Palestinian children has access to remedial classes at the elementary level.
BAS is a humanitarian non-governmental organization working among Palestinian communities in Lebanon. The center in Nahr el Bared welcomes the children and youth of the camp to provide them with health services, cultural and recreational activities, educational classes and vocational trainings.
