The Japanese Ambassador inaugurates a Fire-Fighting project in the Shouf District

 

 

On Friday May 12 2017, the Ambassador of Japan to Lebanon, H.E Mr. Matahiro Yamaguchi attended the inauguration ceremony of a project funded by the Japanese Government and implemented by the Association for Forests, Development and Conservation (AFDC) in the Shouf district.
The project was one of the last examples of the Japanese Government’s Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Program (GGP), through which AFDC was able to equip two centers in the villages of Dmit and Moukhtara with necessary fire-fighting tools and personal protective equipment to suppress forest fires and protect the natural heritage of the district.
